Group Juggle

Materials
Gather a few objects safe to throw from person to person.
Task
Have class either sit or stand in a circle. Then, give the first object to student 1. They then will throw that object to student 2 of their choice, that person throws to person 3 of their choice and so on until the object is all the way through the group.
For the “trick” of the game, set the rule that the group may not speak while playing and if the object hits the ground the object must start with a different first person.
Extention to Simplify

If the group is having a difficult time completing the activity stop students and have them point to who the object is coming from with their right hand and then who they plan to throw it to with their left. You may also ask them to say the name of the person they plan to throw it to before they throw it. Remind student eye contact is a form of communication that works very well when verbal communication is not awarded to them.
Extention to Challenge
If they are successful fast send another object into the circle, then another, then another. It is not likely they will become super successful, but if they do you can always send the next object into the group starting with a different person. That really sets a challenge for the group. So, do not use it if the group is getting frustrated with each other. Remember these activities are supposed to bring the groups together not drive then crazy.
