Successful Middle School Teacher Traits:

1. Put students first. We must know our students well, before we can teach them well.

2. Keep up with the latest developments in our field.

3. Provide successful instruction which addresses students' developmental and intellectual needs and is the highest form of classroom management. Middle school is a place to explore, investigate, dramatize, and relate.

4. Think unconventionally.

5. Collaborate regularly with colleagues. Collective wisdom solves most problems.
